(My husband has provided the comments in blue.)
Let me start by saying that, Lessons Learned is first and foremost to discuss all the lessons that I have learned (when does the learning kick in, I really haven’t noticed) and continue to learn over and over since I've been married. For instance, I've been told many times which pocket Jeremy (my husband) keeps his keys in, but I still can't remember if it's the left or the right. This inability to remember or put into practice any lesson that I've learned has caused quite the frustrated husband from time to time.
Jeremy and I have been married for three years, six months and twelve days. We started our lives together, living in a city, with our own space. It was great! Then we found out we were going to have a baby (Yeah, but maybe a little earlier than we expected). Jeremy's mom agreed to be our sitter and so we moved. We have a beautiful baby girl who is two years, two months and twenty-six days old.
Her name is Katherine Elizabeth and she is pure joy! Now, we're living smack dab in the middle of, "Moatsville". That's my husband's affectionate nickname for my family's little corner of the world. Picture if you will, an intersection in the middle of a rural area with a house on every corner, one of them your own. Across the street you find your father's parents, to the right of their house, your parent’s, and across the street from them (to the right of your own home) you find your uncle. Oh, and don't forget your aunt who lives directly behind your home (That’s not counting your grandfathers brother and sister that live in close proximity). It can be quite trying at times (not due to a lack of love, but more on the line of…I had privacy…once). My husband was commenting to his brother on the use of electricity in our little corner of the world...If one of my family members is babysitting our daughter, they will leave our house with the lights and TV on and venture to another house (do the same , and move on again leaving the same trail of t.v.s and lights on--not necessarily their own). His brother said and might I say, hit the nail on the head, “For them, it's like going from room to room, not house to house.”
So, here's to the lessons learned or not learned.
