Sports

Again my husbands comments are in blue...

I consider myself to be fairly knowledgeable about sports (because of my desire to watch every game, not because you would watch them if I didn’t) and enjoy watching from time to time, but my husband watches football and CAPS Hockey like older women watch soaps. He can't miss a game! It used to be that I had to compete only with football season and the occasional hockey game. Now, not only do I have to schedule around each Cowboys game (besides church, nothing should be scheduled on Sundays in the fall, not only for the Cowboys but for all football). I also have to include each Caps Game. Now, don't get me wrong; Jeremy doesn't neglect Kate or me in the process, he's still very attentive. Its just that we didn't watch Big Bang or How I Met Your Mother last night and it threw my entire Monday evening off kilter. We did watch most of the game as a family, with Kate occasionally joining in with, "DOE TAPS!"

My husband has gone RED this year. RED is Caps Hockey! He's always been a fan, but this year he's especially excited about their line-up: Ovechkin, Semin, Green (you forgot about Backstrom, that kid’s wicked awesome)-who wouldn't be excited? In case you were wondering they are currently down 2-1 in the playoff series with the Rangers. Avery of the Rangers is a wacko; he had, who knows how many minor penalties last night plus he was removed from the game. They even showed a clip of him from last season taunting the goalie (Brodeur of the Devils), the result of which was new NHL rule, aptly named, the “Avery” Rule. The caps won Game 3, 4-0, with Alexander Semin scoring 2 goals (don’t forget about the 20 year old rookie Varlamov with a shutout).

C-A-P-S, CAPS, CAPS, CAPS!
